Good for Smaller Cats, with a Learning Curve and No App Required

It does its job, and I appreciate that no app is required. Getting comfortable with it takes some patience because the manual leaves a few details unclear.

It works well for my smaller cat, although she sometimes puts her front paws on the lip while using it, which makes me unsure how comfortable it would be for a heavier cat. During setup, it displayed a “litter bag full” warning; sliding the tray out and back in cleared it, so the bag may have been interfering with the sensor.

The recommended fill line is fairly low, which may feel shallow if your cat likes to dig or you prefer a deeper litter bed. Since the box has an open top, waste can remain visible until a cleaning cycle runs, depending on where the unit is placed. The interior is also compact: it fits my small cat, but it may be less suitable for larger breeds.

Occasionally, the rotation cycle pauses partway through and shows a flashing sensor light. I cannot tell whether the sensor is reacting to moving litter or whether my curious cat is approaching or playing with the unit while it runs, since I do not see every cycle.

Overall, it is generally good once you learn how it works, seems best suited to smaller cats, and costs noticeably less than some alternatives, though a few areas could feel more refined.

A Convenient Automatic Litter Box, with a Learning Curve for Cats and Owners

I chose this automatic litter box because I wanted a break from cleaning multiple litter boxes every day and was curious to try an automatic option. I received it free through Vine.

Setup took about 20 minutes, including reading the manual, and required no tools; the parts slide and lock into place. It included two rolls of waste-bin bags, an instruction manual, a power plug, and a small air freshener for the waste compartment.

The instructions could be clearer, and a few button combinations differed from what was described, so learning the controls took some trial and error. I recommend keeping the old litter box beside it at first and introducing the new one gradually. My cats were cautious initially, and it took about a week before one of them used it.

The unit has an internal cat-detection sensor and a weight sensor, and it will not rotate or begin cleaning while it detects something inside. No app is required. The three front buttons let you level the litter, run a cleaning cycle, or empty the litter completely. For deeper cleaning, the bin comes apart without tools: press the buttons on both side panels, slide the panels up, and remove the container.

The child lock on my unit worked differently from the manual; I had to double-click the cleaning button to deactivate it before choosing a mode. I also occasionally received a “waste bin full” alert after inserting a bag. Sliding the waste bin out, pulling the bag tight, and making sure no edges were sticking up resolved it.

Overall, it works well once the controls are familiar, and helping cats adjust can take patience. I can recommend it with those considerations. It should not be used for kittens under six months old.

Easy to Assemble, with a Few Design Tradeoffs

Assembly is fairly straightforward, although the instructions could be clearer. The waste bin is a practical size, and compatible third-party liners are widely available. The open-top design can make it easier for cats to get comfortable with the unit.

The sifting teeth are relatively wide, so some smaller clumps may remain in the litter instead of dropping into the bin. The plastic components feel adequate, while longer use will be needed to assess durability.

Overall, it is a functional automatic litter box with a simpler build and feature set than premium systems.
